Frequently Asked Questions
-
1. WHAT TYPE OF SEMI-PERMANENT EYELASH EXTENSIONS DO YOU OFFER?We use Premium Silk/Mink and Synthetic Lashes. These eyelash extensions enhance the beauty of the natural eye in different ways. Eyelash extensions can be applied to look as natural or dramatic as you would like.
-
2. WHY DO SOME SALONS CHARGE VERY LOW PRICES FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS?You usually get what you pay for. If you decide to purchase an eyelash extension service at a low price, there's a chance that you may experience (1) the technician using a poorer quality of products, (2) the technician places speed over quality to complete your extended beauty procedure and/or (3) the technician doesn’t have enough work experience and/or a reputable studio mentor.
-
3. HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION TAKE?Eyelash extensions is a relaxing process, taking an average of 1h 30min – 2h 30min for a full set. However, extension refills/infill only takes 45-75 minutes.
-
4. HOW LONG WILL MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST ?Eyelash extensions last up to 6 weeks, if properly cared for and maintained. To have your eyelash extensions always looking their best, fills are recommended every 3 weeks from the initial application.
-
5. HOW DO I PROPERLY TAKE CARE OF MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are wonderful because they are completely low-maintenance. You cannot get the eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours after they are applied. You cannot use any oil-based makeup removers or products on the lashes or around the eyes. And should you decide to use mascara, only water-based mascara can be used on these eyelashes. The best care for these lashes is to just keep the eye area clean, which is why they are so great – you will revel in the time it saves you in the morning when you pop out of bed looking bright-eyed as though your mascara and eye makeup are already done!
-
6. CAN I CONTINUE WITH MY DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES?YES! After 24 hours you can go swimming with your extensions, work out, still enjoy your steam rooms, and normal everyday activity.
-
7. DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS HURT?NO! The application is a very comfortable and relaxing process.
-
8. ARE THERE DIFFERENT LENGTHS OF EYELASH EXTENSIONS?Yes, we customize a look that is perfect for you! We have a variety of eyelash extension lengths that range from 7mm to 16mm. You can also select the thicknesses of your extensions (0,06mm, 0.07mm, 0.1mm, 0.12mm, or 0.15mm), as well as, the type of curl (B, C, CC, D, or L).
-
9. DO THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS?Yes! We offer pink, blue, green, purple, violet, orange, and brown lashes!
-
1. WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?It’s a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 12 weeks! To top off this treatment, the procedure takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. It’s an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!
-
2. HOW DO I NEED TO PREP FOR THE TREATMENT?Please come in make up free. If you wear contacts, they must be removed.
-
3. IS THIS LIKE LASH EXTENSION WHERE THEY WILL LOOK DRAMATICALLY THICKER?Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different treatments. We will not be adding any additional lashes. We will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.
-
4. WHAT ARE THE POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS?Pretty simple: Do not apply oil-based products to the lashes for the first 24 hours.
-
5. CAN I BOOK THIS ON THE SAME DAY AS A FACIAL?Absolutely!
-
6. IS THERE ANY MAINTENANCE?None at all! You don’t have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts.
-
7. CAN I STILL WEAR MASCARA?Of course! You’ll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.
-
8. HOW IS THIS TREATMENT DIFFERENT THAN A LASH PERM?Some of the lash perms of years past use tiny little rods that produce a way too inverted curl. Others, use a type of lash curler/clamp which can be uncomfortable and difficult to work with. The methods I employ use silicon domed shields that lift the lashes from the root, producing a beautiful, uplifted look as if you used a high-end eyelash curler.
-
9. WILL THIS DAMAGE MY EYELASHES?No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes.
-
10. ARE SOME LASHES RESISTANT TO THE CURL?I have found, on occasion, that it’s very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and let’s see how your lashes hold the curl.
-
11. IS IT PAINFUL?No. At first, when I’m applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit strange, but for the most part, it’s very relaxing! You just kick back and relax
-
12. I USE LATISSE®. CAN I GET THIS TREATMENT ?Yes. Some of the most dramatic results I’ve achieved have been from clients using Latisse®. Clients who use this product typically have long lashes.
-
13. I HAVE DOWNWARD-POINTING LASHES, WILL THIS BE A GOOD TREATMENT FOR ME?Heck yes! Anyone with these types of pesky lashes will love the lash lift! Post treatment, your lashes will all be evenly dispersed and lifted.
-
14. HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT LAST?Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for up to 8 weeks.
-
15. I HAVE VERY VERY SHORT LASHES. AM I ABLE TO STILL DO THIS PROCEDURE?Most of the time, yes. Even though it can be challenging if the lashes aren’t even long enough to bring up and back on to the shield - I say, give it a shot once and see how you do!
-
16. I HAVE GLAUCOMA, CAN I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE?Yes. If ever in doubt, always consult with your physician.
-
17. I RECENTLY HAD BLEPHAROPLASTY SURGERY, CAN I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE?You need to wait at least 1 year from your surgery. It has been my experience with clients who have had this surgery that there is an increased sensitivity in the eye area for quite a while. You need to give yourself that time to heal first. After that, you can consult with your physician to be sure.
-
18. I RECENTLY HAD LASIK SURGERY, CAN I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE?Yes, but you need to wait at least 6 months. As always, when in doubt, please consult with your physician.

1. WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING?Eyebrow microblading is known by several names, including microstroking, micropigmentation, eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering, and 3D eyebrows. Although the names differ, the procedure is the same. Microblading fills in sparse areas of your natural brow, which is performed by using a fine blade to deposit pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Resulting in a natural, gracefully falling hair stroke.
-
2. IS MICROBLADING PERMANENT?Microblading is not permanent. The results from microblading have semi-permanent qualities for two reasons. First, the pigment used for microblading has an iron oxide base rather than a carbon base that is used for permanent cosmetics. Second, microblading pigment is not implanted into the skin as deep when compared to permanent cosmetic procedures.
-
3. DOES MICROBLADING FADE?Microblading tends to fade gradually over time, so a touch up is recommended 12-18 months after the initial microblading; which keeps the color of each microstroke looking vibrant. It’s important to know, even though the color gradually gets lighter, it will not fade into shades of blue or pink like the fading that occurs with permanent cosmetics.
-
4. HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?The healed results of microblading can last up to six months, and even three years for some. The variation in time is determined by lifestyle, sun exposure, and skin type. Someone with an oilier skin type tends to experience results that fade quicker compared to someone with a drier skin type.
-
5. HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING TAKE?The average microblading appointment lasts two hours. Nothing is ever rushed during your microblading appointment because the results are a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo that stays on your face for an extended period of time. We insist on being thorough and taking the time to provide the most beautiful, natural looking brows possible.
-
6. DOES MICROBLADING LOOK NATURAL?We take pride in creating extremely natural looking eyebrows. Natural looking results are made possible by mastering three key elements of microblading; which include brow shaping, color theory, and a microstroking technique. Feel free to review some of our before and after pictures in the gallery.
-
7. WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE FOR MICROBLADED EYEBROWS?The aftercare is not complicated, but it does require some diligence to provide the best possible microblading results. Microblading aftercare includes frequently applying a specialized cream in the early stages of healing and making sure absolutely nothing else comes in contact with the eyebrow area. Activities involving sun exposure, water, and even exercise to prevent perspiration, need to be avoided. It is imperative to follow the aftercare instructions to get the best possible healed results. Please refer to the aftercare page for additional information.
-
8. WHAT IS THE MICROBLADING HEALING PROCESS?The color will appear darker through the first week or so. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin. After seven to ten days, exfoliation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter color below. The result leaves you with softer and more natural lines. As the treated area continues to heal, itching may occur. Itching is a good sign as it means the skin is healing. The complete healing process for microbladed eyebrows typically takes six weeks and then a touch-up appointment follows. The touch up appointment is scheduled during the initial microblading appointment for six to ten weeks later.
-
9. IS MICROBLADING SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?Microblading results create amazing looking eyebrows, however, the procedure is not recommended for everyone. To prevent any complications related to your overall well being, please review the suggestions/requirements and contraindications below. ***Appointments typically last 2 hours; babies or children cannot be present during your appointment, so please make the necessary arrangements in advance.
-
10. WHAT ARE THE SUGGESTIONS / REQUIREMENTS BEFORE EYEBROW MICROBLADING?No Botox treatments should be done touch-up weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure. No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin) No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely. Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure or 2 weeks after. Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure. Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, or ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure. No waxing or tinting touch-up days before procedure. No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours procedure.
-
11. WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS?MICROBLADING IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE WHO IS OR HAS THE FOLLOWING: Sick with cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (Please reschedule your appointment and stay home to recover.) 1. Will my hair grow back darker/thicker?No! This procedure removes only vellus hair on the face and neck, which grows back at the same rate and texture, versus terminal hair, which is the dark and thick hair grown on the scalp, underarms, etc.
-

-
3. What does dermaplaning feel like? Does it hurt?Dermaplaning has been compared to feeling as though someone is drawing on your face with a pencil. Everyones’s experience may vary, however, it should typically be painless. *Sensitivity may occur due to exposure of a new layer of skin, and will go away within 24 hours*
-
4. How long does it take? This service typically takes 1hr. Add on a calming mask to reduce redness and sensitivity for an additional $10 (extra 15 minutes)
